Many of our friends are marking the end of Ramada by celebrating Eid el-Fitr. We wish you all a time of happiness and peace with family and loved ones.

The coming months will bring a number of important activities. On Saturday September 14, between 11 am and 5 pm, the TLA will participate in the Sixth Cary Eid Festival to be held at Dry Ave. and S. Academy St in Cary (http://www.townofcary.org/departments/parks__recreation___cultural_resources/events/festivals/lazy_daze_arts_and_crafts_festival.htm). A number of activities for children, movies, food are offered. Plan to attend and join the festivities. Come and join the festivities.

The weekend of September 20-22 our Dabkeh group is heading to Washington DC to participate in a Lebanese festival there and tour the Capital. This will be a time of sharing and celebrating our culture through dance and music and an opportunity to treat our Dabkeh dancers to a weekend of fun.

The 28th International Festival will be held on Friday October 4th through Sunday October 6th at the Raleigh Convention Center This is a a great time of celebrating cultures and enjoying food and music and from around the world (http://www.internationalfestival.org/program.php). The Lebanese American community always makes a positive impression with our Dabkeh groups, the authentic food we serve, and the cultural exhibit we put on. This year we are adding a bazaar booth offering Lebanese crafts. If you had participated in previous year you know how dynamic and rewarding that time is.
